Why did we found Ethic?
It's a question we receive often. This past weekend, I was out in the mountains and was reminded of one of our founding principles: to use the skills we'd developed throughout our careers for something we believed in. Ethic gives our team the opportunity to use skills developed in more traditional careers to try and solve issues like climate change or social injustice. We want more people to have that same opportunity.
Jay Lipman, a co-founder of Ethic, is driven by the need to address climate and environmental risks with the resources to which we each have unique access. He has been ranked among the Forbes 30 Under 30: Social Entrepreneurs. Born in the UK, he now lives in San Francisco. Previously, he managed the capital of ultra-high-net-worth investors in Deutsche Bank's cross-asset capital markets structuring and sales team.
